Warm Hearted Thanks

These sweet Thank You notes are very easy to make.  I started with the base card in Very Vanilla (4.25" x 5.5") and then layered Cajun Craze card stock.  I used more Very Vanilla and embossed it with the Tin Tile embossing folder (one of my favorites).  Next I used a strip of Cajun Craze (width of embossed layer by 1.25"), and then used the Layering Oval Framelits to create the scalloped edge and oval cut out for the "Thanks".  All the supplies are listed below.

Please let me know if you'd like to order any of these supplies.  Happy Stamping!!

Sweet Treats

These sweet treat bags are perfect for a box of candy hearts or a few small chocolates.  I found this little box video online and then decorated it for Valentine's Day.

Such a cute little box!  I made several to give away for the upcoming holiday.  These would make great gifts for teachers or classroom gifts for students.

Here's the link to the video I used:  https://youtu.be/c7Eshj7JsFo

Sweet Wishes

I decided to try my hand at using the "Masking" technique.  I watched a couple of videos and then tried my hand at it using the Hello Cupcake (SAB 2019) set.

I started out by stamping my image on my Whisper White card stock.  I had already stamped one imagine and cut it out (as seen with the post-it on it).

Then, you place the cut out image over the stamped one to "mask it" or hide it so it doesn't get ink from the other cupcakes on it.
Next, stamp your other images next to it (they will overlap; that's okay).  For this card, I wanted 3 cupcakes, so I stamped two Granny Apple Green ones over the cut out Gorgeous Grape cupcake.
Take off the post-it / cut out image and this is what you'll see.  It looks like they are layered.  Even though I felt I had cut out my masking image pretty closely, it still looks like I could have gotten a bit closer.  Not bad for a first time though! :-)
Next put the cupcake tops on - you can do this without any images cut out / masking because the middle cupcake topper will cover up part of the other ones.  You'll see this in the next photo.
I took Lovely Lipstick and stamped the middle cupcake toppers it onto Whisper White paper and then cut them out.  I placed 3 dimensionals on each one so that it would stand off the card just a bit.
Place it on top (see how it covers up part of the other 2 toppers?)  Then I took the sentiment, "Sweet Wishes" and cut it out with the Layering Oval Framelit dies.
Here's the finished card.

It was much easier than I expected, and now I have one more technique in my arsenal to use.  I love learning "new" things!  This certainly isn't a new technique  but it is new to me.  If you give it a try, post your link or picture below - I'd love to see what you create!

So Hoppy....Congrats!

I decided to play around with my So Hoppy Sale-A-Bration set today.  This card showcases a few different techniques.  First, the Oh My Stars textured embossing folder, which gives the card an extra "pop".  I layered Granny Apple Green paper onto Whisper White, and embossed only half of the card.  Next I cut out the "congrats" using the Sunshine Wishes Thinlits.  I stamped the frog with Stazon Black Ink, which is a faster drying ink, allowing me to color the frog with my Stampin' Blend markers.  I used the balloon punch to cut out a stamped balloon image from the Happy Birthday Gorgeous stamp set, and then added the Gingham sequins for added texture.  For the inside of the card, I stamped "Hoppy for you" and layered it on two of the Layering Squares Framelits.  This is a fairly simple card; just has several components to put together to create.

Valentine's Day Cards

This is literally one of the easiest cards to make!  I started with a 5 1/2" x 8 1/2" piece of Lovely Lipstick card stock and scored it at 4 1/4".  This creates your base card.  I then took a sheet from the All My Love Designer Series Paper (from the 2019 Occasions catalog) and cut a piece 5 3/8" x 4 1/8".  Use your adhesive to place the DSP onto the base card.  Then grab some scraps of Lovely Lipstick and Flirty Flamingo card stock and cut out the hearts and "love" sentiments from Sunshine Wishes Thinlit set in the Annual Catalog.   Before you cut these out, it is easiest if you use some of the adhesive sheets on the back of the card stock so mounting them on the card is super easy.  Then just place where you like, and you're done!  I also put a piece of Whisper White card stock inside (5 3/8" x 4 1/8") with "Happy Valentine's Day" stamped on it.  You can add whatever sentiment you wish....anniversary; birthday; etc.

Hello Cupcake Birthday Cards

Stampin' Up! makes coordinating colors so easy.  These birthday cards were made using solid color card stock along with the Gingham Gala designer paper that matches each color.  I started with a 4 1/4" x 5 1/2" card base and layered the Gingham Gala and Whisper White paper cut from the Rectangle Stitched Framelits Dies.  I used the Hello Cupcake stamp set (FREE with a $50 order) and "fussy cut" each cupcake to be mounted using dimensionals to give it some depth.  I layered a small piece of matching ribbon (also FREE with a $50 order) to each card and then finished them off with coordinating sequins.

You'll want to check out the 2019 Occasions Catalog and the Sale-A-Bration Catalog to see how you can earn free products for every $50 you spend.  Please let me know if you'd like to place an order to get these supplies for your own projects.

Crafting Space

My crafting area has finally got an upgrade!!  Check out how I use to craft, using only a small area of my desk.

Each time I wanted to make a card, I had to clear off a section of my desk, get out all the products I wanted to use, and then shuffle things around as I created.  Very small space, but it worked for a time.  Now, however, I have a crafting space that makes me smile.

My sister and I both bought this furniture years ago for our craft rooms.  I sold mine when I moved, but she still had hers.  She graciously gave it to me, and I am in heaven!  For me, this crafting space works.  It has everything I need at arm's length, and it's easy to keep things organized and ready to go whenever I get the urge to create.  I still have a few things to add (lighting for one), but I have so enjoyed having my craft room back.  What does your crafting space look like?  What works for you?
